His Heart, not His Hands!

I usually do not go spiritual on my weekly posts. I usually leave that for Sundays. But because of the sudden burden in my heart (plus today's message in church), I'm going to just drop this real quick.

Why are you running after Him?

You see so many people in church today, much more in Crusades and way way more in healing programmes. What is attracting them?

Miracles, healing, breakthrough i.e His Hands! .

Now, I am not saying that is wrong. No sir, no ma! My point is on this 👇👇

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matt 6:33

This means, the first point of attraction should be the Kingdom of God. His Presence, a relationship with Him, His Heart.... Should be the things that bring you to church. Not because you are searching for what He can do for you.
This simple fact, most Christians fail to recognize, which is the reason they end up moving from place to place in search of heaven-knows-what. God does not reside in some places and stay away from others. He is Omnipresent, remember? It means, He can answer your request right where you are, but first, He needs to know your intentions towards Him.

Are you looking for His Hands or His Heart?

The Israelites made this mistake. They ran to God only when they needed something. They cried to him for their freedom from the hands of Pharoah. He granted their wish, but then what did they do afterwards? They went on to worship a cow!
It is really really harmful coming to God just because of His Hands. You know why?

When the miracle you are waiting for delays, you become desperate and desperation gives birth to Ishmael!

It is important to note that you firstly, need to grow and mature in the Spirit, before you can grasp certain privileges. Seek Him first, not His Hands!
Guess two people who grew and got matured in the Spirit before doing spectacular things?

And the child grew and became strong in spirit; and he lived in the wilderness until he appeared publicly to Israel. Luke 1:80

and Jesus!

And the Child grew and became strong. He was filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was upon Him. Luke 2:40

This tells you how important it is that you seek God's Heart, rather that His Hands. You could actually come to love Him so much and become intimate with the HolySpirit that your desperations, needs and problems become dumb. You find yourself, just wanting to be in His Presence, show Him how much you love Him without wanting anything in return.
Actions like this moves God, Trust me, I know!

I hope with these few points of mine, I have been able to convince you and not confuse you that you should actually run to God, not because of His Hands, but because of His Heart! 🤓🤓
