RE: SPIRITUAL FOOD 4 THOUGHT - CREATION ACCOUNT COMPROMISE, DESTROYING THE NATURE OF GOD

I truly agree with you @papa-pepper. However what about 2 Peter 3:8 where he speaks about a day being like a 1000 years. Is a day a literal day? Or as Peter states like a 1,000 years. If one took peter literally it may support the idea of an old creation. Whatever 6,000 years is times 1,000. What are your thoughts? Again thanks. Love your bible studies.

One last thing, and then you can wait for the video.

The discussion isn't how many thousands of years things took anyway, it's the difference between billions and millions of years vs. thousands. You'd NEVER get millions or billions if you only looked in the Bible.

Thanks man.

Also, the other part is that Peter also says 1000 years is like a day, so....

Did they march around Jericho for 7000 years?
Was Jonah in the great fish for 3000 years?
Was Jesus in the grave 3000 years?

etc, etc, etc.....

(Thanks for loving these studies and engaging too.)

Interestingly enough, I've already recorded a video about that, and should have it uploaded and posted in the near future. One thing to consider is that Adam was "only" 930 years old when he died, and he lived through the seventh day, so if the seventh day was 1000 years, we've got even more problems.

How does 2 Peter 3 relate to Genesis 1, though?

How do we define a day???

Same way God does in Genesis, and evening, a morning = day (time of light and time of darkness)
