Balance and Change

Balance requires a center, a stillness. Balance stems from the heart.
The Tree knows balance. It stays firmly rooted in a state of balance. Even from its beginnings as a seed.
The seed becomes engorged with water and breaks its capacitive shell. The sun pulls at the water and carries the snaking sapling with it. The tree finds its place within the electromagnetic flow of the earth and begins to stretch out its arms and legs. It buries its head deep in the ground and lets its neurons multiply their connections. It breathes deep to add to its crystalline structure. Like a bolt of lightning caught in time the tree enlivens all around it. There is much change but the tree is always in a state of adaptation. The challenges give it strength. Every time it bends it builds back stronger.
A tree that sprouts in darkness will reach towards the light. It will bend its trunk to find that light but it will always be balanced. Out of necessity it will dig its roots in deeper and expand them.
When we come to this tree do we judge the tree for having grown in darkness? Or do we applaud the tree for having found the light. We should lay upon its trunk and be grateful for its struggle, for now we have support to find our own peace.
As we adapt to change we learn how to maintain balance. No matter where we end up on our journey we should know that what is important is the balanced growth of every moment. If we find ourselves in darkness we should keep our peace and know the sun will rise soon.
Love All and accept the Love of all. The same wind that blows down houses as a tornado can be a pleasant breeze that fills our sails. Do we refuse that wind or do we love and appreciate its guidance.

The animals tail is an instrument of balance and an antenna for grounding in the earth. We humans have little left in the form of a tail. We strive to stand tall like the tree that we used to call home. In this erect position a tail is not needed. But in trying to stand tall we have lost our balance. We have lost our connection to the earth and are spinning out of control. We all must take a seat and ground our little tails back into the earth and remember her as our Mother. Then we will stand up and dance and not lose our balance. We will grab hands and never let another fall. Then we will know ourselves as the five pointed shooting stars that we are, ready to fertilize the universe with Eternal Love.
