Poem #1

We have traded our swords for cell phones.
And our armor for tolerance.
We have been fed the American dream.
And forgotten about divine providence.
Brothers and sisters all over the world
Have the sins of the people piled on you?
Bishops and caretakers of the earth
Have we allowed the worldly to overtake you?
If we call ourselves believers, shouldn't we show it?
And if we call ourselves christians, shouldn't we believe it?
How often we forget, our lives are not our own.
How few times per day, our love for him is shown.
Call back to the book of acts, and live the life shown there.
So short a life we live, to worry about its vain and godless cares.
