Heaven is a state of mind

In this article I want to take you on a ride into a new world. A world that is already here, waiting for you to be discovered. This new world is nothing you have to work for, or that is only accessible to very few selected individuals.

You don’t need to be religious to be there - in fact it really helps if you forget all you think you know about God or the Divine. You can only enter naked there - so leave all your spiritual luggage behind - it’s not needed.

This new world is called Heaven and it’s the home of your new life.

How to enter Heaven

As I stated in the title, Heaven is a state of mind - and it’s always right here, where you are. So the good news is, that you don’t need to die to enter.
You may now ask, why you don’t see and experience it? I’m glad that you ask!

The reason for that simply is, because on some level you think you have done something wrong in the past or even more so, believe that you are wrong or could do something wrong in the future. This feeling of wrongness can also project out onto other people, and you may think, that they are wrong or have done something that is wrong to you.

This latent feeling of „I have done something wrong“ or „They have done something wrong“ is commonly referred to as guilt. If it’s projected into the future it’s called fear.

If you have read my previous articles, you may know by now, that guilt is according to A Course in Miracles the egos reason why it created the world as it is - a world of guilt, fear and death - for attack and defense, to hide away its own guilt.

Besides this egos world, there is Heaven and there, no one knows about guilt and fear. Don’t believe me. It’s statistics! A recent survey under all (one) inhabitants of Heaven showed very clearly, that 100% don’t know the feeling of guilt. There you have it. 😉

There is only one entry ticket into this new world - a secret key if you want - and it is very simple and pure. It’s called innocence.

So to recap: You don’t have to die and you don’t have to make amends for your sins. You don’t need to behave like a good girl or boy your whole life and most of all: you don’t have to proof your innocence in the Heavens courtroom!

I know, this makes 99% of world religions obsolete and you are right.
A Course in Miracles has nothing to do with religion. It is a course in mind training. You know, the Mind, that you are…

Innocence means, that you have done nothing wrong and even more so, that you can never do something wrong. Nothing you did or will do, can ever change your Oneness with the Divine.
Sure, in your illusionary human form you can make errors, but errors are not a big deal. Errors are nothing and easily corrected, since they are only on the level of form.

So pause for a moment and join me in a short exercise from my upcoming "A Taste of Heaven®“ seminar. It’s called „Instant Atonement“:

Just imagine for the next 5 minutes, how it would feel like, to be totally innocent. Don’t worry, you can go back to your bag of guilt later if you wish to do so.
Remember, this is just an experiment - a short taste of how Heaven feels like. Just for a few moment, feel how it would feel like, to be totally forgiven. Don’t try to forgive one wrong or sinful piece after the other - don’t go through a list of wrongdoings one after the other - just see how it feels like, if suddenly 100% of all your sin, guilt and fear are forgiven right now, out of some - let’s call it - „miracle“. Don’t ask why. Don’t look for things to do, to deserve this miracle of 100% forgiveness. Just try to get a glimpse.
You can’t do this exercise wrong and you don’t have to do the forgiving.
See forgiveness as a gift from the Divine. Let’s just pretend for a moment, that you deserve this beautiful gift. Do it. I’ll wait for you…

Diving deeper into innocence

Have you done the exercise? Did you enjoy it?
If yes, I can tell you, that there is no need to go back to your old bag of guilt, unless you really want to.

It could also be, that you may have encountered some resistances. The biggest resistance you will meet, is the egos need to feel guilty in the form of feeling guilty when you feel innocent for just a few moments!
It’s paradoxical and also a bit funny, if you look at this, since it proofs the dependance of the ego on the feeling of guilt. It will then say: „You can’t feel guiltless, otherwise you will run around and kill people (or do other bad things)! You need guilt as your conscience!!“

Let me ask you this, dear ego: How many serial killers do you think there are, who are totally in love, peace and innocence and are on a murder spree because they can’t bear the still and loving presence of Oneness with the Divine? Zero? Maybe less…..

Innocence is a state of mind, where guilt, shame, anger or fear are absent.
It is your natural state and to be enlightened means, to realize your pure innocent nature. It’s not only the key into, but a spark of Heaven itself.

Don’t forget, that in innocence there is nothing you have to get rid of. It’s a realization and not an achievement! I can’t stress how important this part is. As long as you have the feeling that you have to overcome something to gain something else, you are still in the egos trap of getting/sacrificing. Innocence is incapable of sacrificing anything, because the innocent mind has everything. This is fact, not theory.

While for the ego the illusionary body and world serve the purpose of hiding guilt away, for the innocent mind - being one with the Divine - the world suddenly serves a different purpose.

This is the next step on the journey, when you reside in Heaven more frequently. The purpose of the illusionary body will then become one of spreading the message of innocence.

Teachers of innocence, each in his own way, have joined together, taking their part in the unified curriculum of the Atonement. There is no unity of learning goals apart from this. There is no conflict in this curriculum, which has one aim however it is taught. Each effort made on its behalf is offered for the single purpose of release from guilt, to the eternal glory of God and His creation. And every teaching that points to this points straight to Heaven, and the peace of God. There is no pain, no trial, no fear that teaching this can fail to overcome. The power of God Himself supports this teaching, and guarantees its limitless results.

To be a teacher of innocence means to make yourself aware of your true nature and dare to receive the gift of atonement. Since there is no difference between giving and receiving in Heaven, the instant you accept the atonement for yourself and you are 100% forgiven, you will extend it to the world and give it a new meaning….

Did you know, that „I love you“ in Heaven means: „I see the innocence in you.“?
