The dromedary, also called Arabian camel, predominantly lives in the desert regions of Africa, India and Arabia. In contrast to the camel, which is two-humped, the dromedary is one-humped. Having adapted exceptionally well to the desert conditions, the dromedary is a very expedient pack and riding animal that according to experienced caravan operators is particularly efficient and clever. Like many camel species, dromedaries are capable of drinking 100 liters of water at once, which is then being stored in an organ close to the stomach. By doing so they are able to transport goods across arid regions without drinking anything for up to two weeks. If they have certain herbs, leaves or grasses at their disposal, dromedaries can even survive several months of intense heat without drinking water. Opposed to widespread assumptions, the humps are exlcusively serving the storage of fat, not water. Herds are usually comprised of several female and one male dromedary, while other males prefer living a maverick lifestyle. Lifespan ranges between 40-50 years.

Spiritually light aspects:

When the dromedary comes into our life it spends us the perseverance and composure we need at that time to placidly stay on track with Heart-driven projects despite prolonged lean periods. If you struggle and have a tough time with maintaining your faith, take a moment to ponder: how did I feel when I started my endeavor? Did it feel right? If there had been an inexplicably profound Heart-felt "That's it!", a moment of most precise crystal ball divination, then it is the reconnection with this very energy that will allow us to unswervingly outpace the Fata Morganas no matter which extremes we are being subjected to. While some will fall for the mirage and stray off their path, a decision which is reflective of residual distrust in Heart wisdom, linking up with the dromedar's energy will also encourage others to intuitively proceed like clockwork. The oasis of the Heart is our best compass toward affluence.

Spiritually dark aspects:

Dromedaries can be arrogant and recalcitrant. Even though they don't openly brag about the fact that sense of direction comes naturally to them, dromedaries dislike partaking in joint roadmapping especially when they consider the other participants' prescience to be inferior. More often than not, a look at the dromedary's face alone is enough to recognise its dissent, and this animal doesn't make any secret of it so that trouble is sure to follow if either party loses its temper. Willfulness is wished-for, yet if too obstinate cooperative consensus will be stymied. Those with the dromedary as their spirit animal are recommended to concede common ground when inevitable and avoid such settings in the first place.
