People don't hurt us, we hurt ourselves by buying into the story being presented to us by the other person.
You can choose to say 'no thank you, that's not my story.' Then watch what could have hurt you just float by like a passing cloud.

You're a human BEING not a human DOING! Know this and get out of the worldly based YOYO of measuring your worth by what you do and what you have.
Know this and get out of the worldly ferris wheel of competition and trying to outdo others and measure worth by performance.
Know this and be content knowing you are already ENOUGH.
