Yes. Transcenscion of the ego is crucial to most of our development. Being willing to challenge who we are and be accountable for how we got here is integral to metaphysical, emotional, and psychological development.

I have the amazing fortunate opportunity to help people reach these states of being by activating their pineal glands via the optic nerve. It does not always challenge the ego, but I have never seen someone experience this technology who did not gain an expanded view of who they are and/or all that is. When we delve deep enough within understandings of our selves, it would be unusual not to auto-modify.
