The Afterlife...

A small article I wrote today for the Schizophrenia Outpatient Clinic (SOC) Newsletter ... peace & God Bless :)

The Afterlife...

I was diagnosed with schizophrenia in late 2005. Since that time I have experienced many “spiritual things”, from heaven to hell, and everything in between (purgatory, Hades realm, death realms, multiple “abysses”, demon realms, multiple physical planes, the wider spirit world, etc). I have forgotten much of what I have gone through over the more than a decade, but still retain enough to write about in my book, and in these articles. From my understanding, once we die and “pass on our mortal coil” we are often given a choice of which spiritual realm we move onto. This choice is largely made by our pre-existing belief system. IE, if we are Christian we may be granted passage to one of the heavenly realms, if we are Hindu we may be granted passage to the Hindu realm, if we are Buddhist we may be granted passage to the Buddhist realm, etc.. I have seen and experienced parts of all these realms and believe that The Creator does his best to provide a home for his children based on their belief systems. It is a relatively simple matter for The Creator to create these realms for his children, to continue their journey and move on as spiritual beings made in the image of their Creator. I have come to believe that all religions have a part of the “truth” and largely this is because of the accommodating nature of The Creator in creating many different “realms” for his children to learn and grow in. There also appears to be a hierarchy of creators/controllers below The Creator that are given the task of creating their own “worlds” and “realms” for spirits to live their lives in. I like to say, “Creation is more complex than the human mind is meant to deal with” and this is largely because of the complicated nature of our existing “time-space” that contains multiple dimensions and spiritual realms that we may be given a “glimpse” of during our “psychoses.” In conclusion, the afterlife is not a simple thing, and many individuals may be given a choice as to their destination of their next spiritual life, be it in heaven, in hell, or the wider spirit world, etc.. I will leave you with a favorite quote of mine, "We are not human beings on a spiritual journey. We are spiritual beings on a human journey." ~ Stephen Covey
