HOLY SPIRIT, GUIDE MY WAY TO THE FATHER

READ: 1 John 2:22-28
Key Scripture: Christ has poured out his Spirit on you. As long as his Spirit remains in you, you do not need anyone to teach you. For his Spirit teaches you about everything, and what he teaches is true, not false. Obey the Spirit's teaching, then, and remain in union with Christ (1 John 2:27).

THOUGHTS
The year is still very new and we are still in the mood of thanksgiving for a safe entry into the New Year and for his assurance and promises to keep us through the rest of the year. The Lord, God Almighty, does not make empty promises. He says what He will do and that is why we are encouraged to hold on to His Words. The book of psalms 16:3 says, "Commit your ways to the Lord and He will make your plans prosperous.” Last year may not have been so good but there are promises of God for you this year. When people try to tell me how bad their experiences were last year, tell them this year is different, and that this year will be good because God says the latter shall be greater than the former. Those that know their God will mount on wings like eagles. There is a condition to this, which is: if you allow the Holy Spirit to be your friend. He is the one that will make all the difference between this year and last year
