Poisonous spiders are definitely a threat to our house. People who usually live in places surrounded by strong vegetation will usually have this problem. In such conditions it is not quite easy to eradicate poisonous species completely but there are few steps you can take to reduce the number of poisonous species around us. Especially spiders are quite difficult to handle because of their size. They are so stealth because of their size and it becomes quite challenging for us to stay away from them. I would like to suggest few methods. These below methods can be both prevention as well as cure.

Keep your house clean

Most of the species are not indented towards camping in our house because they have better places to camp. In spite of that, the main reason why they camp in our house is because they get enough food inside our house. The reason why they get enough food inside the house is because the house is not clean. Keeping the house clean from time to time can help. If the house is not very clean and if there are opportunities for spider's preys to live a happy life, then the spiders will definitely find your house and camp there.

While cleaning the house, it is highly mandatory to take necessary precautions. During the process of cleaning you can even find some spiders. Be careful with them. I would advice not to disturb them and make them find a way out instead of killing them. I know they are poisonous but they contribute a lot to the balance of the ecosystem. So, I'm totally against killing any species. If you are not comfortable in cleaning the house by yourselves, you can call dedicated cleaners from outside. They are usually experts in helping you clean the house for a minimum charge. Remove unwanted things from your house. You can allocate a separate room to dump all your unwanted things so that even if spiders or other species want to find some food, they will go to that exclusive room instead of coming to your living room.

Seal the unwanted holes

There can be a possibility where spiders can reach your house through some holes and other openings. It is good to cover everything up to make sure there is no possibility for spiders to enter the house. This is one way to prevent spiders from entering the house. Obviously you will not be able to cover and seal every single hole in the house so there is always room for spiders to enter the house. But this step is to make sure at least we have things covered to a greater extent.

House lizards

I'm not sure if house lizards are common in all the places around the world. But in India, house lizards are very common and we can see so many lizards inside the house. Some people have a great hatred towards house lizards. The very reason why we have house lizards is to prevent the house from poisonous spiders. They are natural helpers. You don't have to take any intentional step to grow a house lizard. But if you have too many house lizards in the house,  please don't hate them because they indirectly help you fight poisonous spiders. They will not let any poisonous species enter the house because other species are either afraid of lizards or even if they enter, it becomes a meal for the lizards.

House lizards are not going to be a great menace to the people living in the house. They always stay away from people and are very busy in hunting down insects in the house. The only problem is that they shit a lot. You might have some difficultly cleaning their shit and clearing their eggs. Other than that they are absolutely good against any poisonous insects. If you don't have a lizard in the house then you have high risk of having poisonous insects in the house. I have had personal experiences with house lizards. They hunt down all the unwanted insects when we are away or during the night time to make sure the house is safe.

Bhai lizards do a great job. They take care of cleaning the inserts. I have around 3 gaint lizards in my room doing the work for me. Their eggs and shoot can become a bit messy. Other than that they are of great help.

There was one millipede roaming inside the house. I had tough time hunting it down. But I don't find it anymore. Mabe it became a meal for the lizards.

We on the other hand let them live ... may be we just shoo them away ... I feel spiders are better than mosquitoes

Completely agree. Especially India, spiders or even dinosaurs are far better than mosquitoes.
