Late Night Thoughts: Michigan Wins A Back To Back B1G Championship!
It's Time To Go Dancing!
This title says it all, and I had the biggest grin on my face while I was typing it! Your Michigan Wolverines just won their second Big Ten Tournament title in a row, guaranteeing them an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament!
All of my attention has been glued to the tournament this weekend, that I didn't realize we were of the only major conferences playing their tournament this week! Apparently the commissioner or the Big Ten thought it was a good idea to hold the tournament a week earlier, so it could be held in Madison Square Garden. Sounds like a cash grab to me, but the insurmountable amount of Boo's he received after handing off his trophy to Coach Beilein and our new shiny trophy made it worth the while.
Unfortunately,now all of the schools in the conference have to wait two + weeks to play in the tournament depending on when they were knocked out. Everyone knows March is all about momentum, so hopefully all of the Big Ten teams don't get knocked off early, due to this long hiatus!
Super proud of this team, which was able to knock off two top ten teams on their road to the ship! Analysts have them being seeded no lower than 3rd, which would place their first round games in Detroit! We shall see next week during selection Sunday, so until then I guess it's time to get out dancing shoes shined!
