90 Day Workout Challenge Day 41

Day 41

Welcome to day 41 of the 90 day workout challenge! I was really feeling Monday's workout yesterday and today, so I decided to take one of my rest days yesterday to hopefully prevent any injuries.

The specific area that is bothering me is my obliques, which made my cardio and a few ab exercises very difficult for me today. I feel like I haven't been able to fully adjust to my new work schedule, which has greatly impacted my blog, so I am going to try really hard to produce some quality content in the next couple of days!

Workout

Today I focused on cardio and core, so I completed a two mile run, along with my normal ab and push-up circuit. I completed my two mile run in 15:04 minutes, running at a pace of 7.7 mph for the first mile, and 8.3 mph for the second. I noticed going above 8 mph was very hard for me today, which could have been due to my back being really tight, or the fact that I put on some more muscle recently.

The push-up circuit started at 10 push-ups then I took ~8 seconds for rest then did 9, and repeated that all the way down to 1 push-up. The following ab exercise consisted of 50 reps.

  • Crunch
  • Bycycle
  • Side Abs (Both Sides)
  • Back Raises
  • Flutters

This week has definitely been tough for me with work taking up more and more of my time, but hopefully my plan to wake up earlier to complete my workout, or write my blog posts will help me get back on track! As you say - and I can speak from experience - NOTHING is worth getting injured for, it sucks so fucking bad, and you can't really imagine how much it sucks before it actually happens. So you do the right thing in my opinion to take that rest day 🙏🏼

And thank you bro! Yeah I ran track in college and one of the worst experiences of my life was pulling my hamstring during my senior season smh. It definitely put a lot of things in perspective like how much I value my body for example haha
