After growing up in Venezuela, where the hot dog is an art, and the simplest is chopped onion, cole slaw, potato chips, 3 sauces and grated cheese, it's no less than eating an American-style hot dog (only with ketchup, mustard and onion) feel that something is missing. So when it comes to making hot dogs at home, I like to add ingredients to the Latin style and make my own version. Here is the recipe for some hot dogs that will leave you wanting to combine even more flavors on your palate!
Hot dogs Latin type
13 Ingredients
8 hot dog breads
8 sausages
1/2 tablespoon of olive oil
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup of chopped tomato (very small)
1 cup of lettuce in very thin slices or strips
1 chopped avocado in squares
2 cups of grated cheese (can be Mexican style)
Pink sauce
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup of catsup
1 tablespoon of mustard
1/2 tablespoon of lemon juice
1/4 tablespoon of soy sauce
1 Heat the bread steamed or on a griddle for a while, preventing it from getting toasted.
2Coast the oil over medium heat adding the sausages in a pan, turn them to brown on all sides.
3Prepare the pink sauce by combining mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, lemon juice and soy.
4 Place a sausage on each bread, add a bit of lettuce, a little bit of tomatoes, onion and then continue with the sauce. Finally add a little avocado and grated cheese. You can add all this to your taste and you are ready to enjoy a delicious hot dog in the Latin style!
