Este fin de semana hizo un tiempo fabuloso en toda España. Estamos teniendo temperaturas extraordinarias para la época. Por eso, mucha gente disfrutó del sol, del mar y de la playa.

En la ciudad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria tienen una playa fantástica. La playa de las Canteras es un arenal magnífico se ha formado tras un arrecife y que está formando parte de la gran ciudad. A mi me encanta pasear por ella, ya sea junto a la orilla o por la avenida martima.

En la parte que está en el entorno del “Auditoto Alfredo Kraus” habitualmente hay unas olas muy buenas para practicar el surf.

Entre los jóvenes de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, hay gran afición a practicar el surfing puesto que han podido disfrutar de esta playa y de estas olas desde niños.

Por esta zona hay muchas escuelas de “Surf”que imparten clases donde también alquilan la tabla y el equipo.

El domingo pasado, en el lado de los acantilados, las olas eran muy ordenadas y alargadas, permitiendo a los surfistas disfrutar con ellas. Al ser muy largas y romper en forma de tubos, los jóvenes se podían desplazar sobre sus tablas largos recorridos.

Junto al auditorio hay unas gradas para que la gente pueda sentarse y mirar el espectáculo de los surfistas. Desde allí observé como, en su desplazamiento, giraban sus tablas para ascender otra vez en el ola y así coger impulso.

La verdad es que fue un auténtico espectáculo muy entretenido.

Si visitáis Gran Canaria es imprescindible un paseo por la playa de Las Canteras, os cautivará.

Surfers

This weekend made a fabulous time throughout Spain. We are having extraordinary temperatures for the time. That's why many people enjoyed the sun, the sea and the beach.

In the city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria they have a fantastic beach.
Las Canteras beach is a magnificent sand that has formed behind a reef and is part of the big city. I love walking through it, either along the shore or along the Avenida Martima.

In the part that is in the environment of the "Auditoto Alfredo Kraus" there are usually some very good waves to practice surfing.

Among the young people of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, there is great fondness to practice surfing since they have been able to enjoy this beach and these waves since they were children.

In this area there are many "Surf" schools that teach classes where they also rent the board and equipment.

Last Sunday, on the side of the cliffs, the waves were very orderly and elongated, allowing surfers to enjoy them. Being very long and breaking in the form of tubes, young people could move on their long boards.

Next to the auditorium there are some steps so that people can sit and watch the spectacle of the surfers. From there I observed how, in their displacement, they rotated their boards to ascend again in the wave and thus gain momentum.

The truth is that it was a very entertaining show.

If you visit Gran Canaria it is essential to take a walk along the beach of Las Canteras, it will captivate you.
