Exactamente hoy, yo estaba haciendo el Camino de Santiago a su paso por León, hace 5 años.
El Camino de Santiago es un trayecto de peregrinación que tiene lugar desde hace más de 1000 años y cuyo objetivo es venerar los restos del Apóstol Santiago.
El Camino lo hice yo solo esta vez. Ya lo había hecho antes pero nunca solo. Fue una experiencia inolvidable y la recuerdo en muchísimas ocasiones. Sentí una emoción profunda con aquella aventura en soledad. Creo que ha sido una de las cosas más importantes de mi vida y desde luego me ha marcado.
Ese mismo año, en verano, hice también un Camino junto con mi hijo y luego lo hemos repetido juntos,, por diversas trayectorias,, cinco años consecutivos. Este año repetimos.
Os muestro algunas fotos de la etapa entre Mansilla de Mulas y León.
Las señales pintadas amarillo indican el sentido de la marcha.
Hay muchas otras señales. Generalmente son conchas aunque también han diseñado otros modelos.
Recuerdo que, cuando caminaba solo en este páramo leonés tan desierto, la visión de un peregrino delante de mi me hacía mucha compañía.
Algunos afirman que el Camino les hace conocerse mejor, encontrarse con uno mismo. Yo opino que el Camino te obliga a hablar contigo, a escucharte, a meditar sobre tus cosas en contacto con la naturaleza. Te obliga a superarte, a no rendirte, pues tienes que llegar a tu destino para poder descansar. Te enseña a disfrutarte.
El Páramo leonés se compone de grandes llanuras. Caminando solo, durante mas de 20 km, tuve mucha mayor sensación de riesgo, de libertad y aventura.
La llegada a León fue muy emocionante, sobretodo por la visita a la Catedral que es de estilo gótico. Son muy interesantes, sobre todo, sus magníficas vidrieras artesanales. De hecho, constituyen la mayor colección de vidrieras medievales del mundo.
La simbología y arquitectura de las catedrales góticas españolas está muy influenciada por las catedrales anteriores francesas. De hecho, Catedral de León tiene el mismo diseño que la catedral de Reims, aunque es un tercio más pequeña.
Todo el edificio de la Catedral de León se diseñó para poder albergar unas vidrieras magníficas. Con ellas, se consiguió que el interior contara con una iluminación que indujera a una profunda espiritualidad. Así, se recrea un entorno casi celestial.
Imagino a los antiguos peregrinos emocionados entrando en este recinto tan especial. Yo sentí que me encontraba ante algo único. Por eso, lamento tanto la tragedia de Notre Dame, máxime cuando fue producida por falta de profesionalidad.
Las vidrieras se construyeron en los siglos XIII y XIV. Por fortuna se conservan los originales aunque hubo un periodo en que el edificio llegó a estar muy deteriorado. Junto a las vidrieras de la catedral de Chartres, son las más importantes del mundo.
Según la altura en el muro, cambia la temática. En la parte más baja están los motivos terrenales y hay muchos diseños florales. Las que están mas altas tienen motivos de mayor santidad.
Después de cenar la rica sopa de trucha que es un plato típico de la cocina leonesa y que se sirve en una loza de barro, me fui a descansar para emprender temprano la etapa del día siguiente.

Exactly today I was doing the Camino de Santiago on its way through León, 5 years ago.
The Camino de Santiago is a pilgrimage route that has been going on for more than 1000 years and whose objective is to venerate the remains of the Apostle Santiago.
I did the Camino only this time. I had done it before but never alone. It was an unforgettable experience and I remember it many times. I felt a deep emotion with that adventure in solitude. I think it has been one of the most important things in my life and of course it has marked me.
That same year, in summer, I also made a Camino together with my son and then we have repeated it together for different trajectories five consecutive years. This year we repeat.
I show you some pictures of the stage between Mansilla de Mulas and León.
The yellow painted signs indicate the direction of travel.
There are many other signs that are usually shells although they have also designed other models.
I remember that, when I walked alone in this desolate desert of León, the vision of a pilgrim in front of me made me very close.
Some affirm that the Way makes them know themselves better, to find oneself. To think that the Camino forces you to talk with you, to listen to you, to meditate on your things in contact with nature. It forces you to improve yourself, not to give up, because you have to reach your destination to be able to rest. Teaches you how to enjoy yourself.
The Páramo leonés consists of large plains. Walking alone, for more than 20 km, I had a much greater sense of risk, freedom and adventure.
The arrival in León was very exciting, especially for the visit to the Cathedral, which is in the Gothic style. They are very interesting especially its magnificent artisan windows, which are the largest collection of medieval stained glass windows in the world.
The symbology and architecture of the Gothic cathedrals is heavily influenced by earlier French cathedrals. In fact, Leon Cathedral has the same design as the cathedral of Reims although it is a third smaller.
The entire building of the Cathedral of León was designed to house some magnificent stained glass windows. With them it was possible for the interior to have an illumination that would induce a deep spirituality. It recreates an almost heavenly environment.
Imagine the excited old pilgrims entering this special place. I felt that I was facing something unique. For that reason, I am so sorry for the tragedy of Notre Dame, especially when it was produced due to a lack of professionalism.
The stained glass windows were built in the 13th and 14th centuries. Fortunately the originals are preserved although there was a period in which the building became very deteriorated. Next to the stained glass windows of Chartres Cathedral, they are the most important in the world.
According to the height in the wall, the theme changes. In the lower part are the earthly motifs and there are many floral designs. Those that are higher have more holiness reasons.
After having dinner the rich trout soup that is a typical dish of Leonese cuisine and served in an earthenware dish, I went to rest to start the stage the next day early.
Cómo lo hago
Hice las fotografías con mi iPhone4 y mi Canon Ixus 230 HS. Para la edición utilicé la aplicación Snapseed y para la firma digital usé la App Watermark.
Los dibujos los hice en el iPad con el programa Sketches.
For the photography I use my iPhone4 and my Canon Ixus 230 HS. For edition I use the Snapseed application and for the digital signature the Watermark app.
Everything I did on my mobile phone, I did not use the computer at all.
For the drawings, I use the Sketches program and paint them on the tablet.

qué larga caminata no? pero mira qué hermosas tomas nos has traído y con ellas un monton de sensaciones y sentimientos que transmites!.
Divinas tomas, me transmitieron paz, meditación, el encuentro con uno mismo, estoy impresionada, no solo con los paisajes y lo que transmites sino al ver, que hasta les otorgan certificaciones por realizar la actividad. Que gran incentivo!

Ese camino a Santiago te ha dejado gratas experiencias. Recorrer esas vias en soledad permite la contemplación. Es el momento propicio para nuestro encuentro con Dios para recibir de Él su gracia. Hermoso es ese templo. Cada estructura de las iglesias fueron realizadas con mucha delicadeza. Se ven simplemente genial. Dios siga bendiciendo esos caminos que con tanto cariño te llevan años tras años hasta Él. Saludos amigo. Me encantó leer esto.
Para mi fue una experiencia muy bonita y recomendable. Aunque no es obligatorio ser creyente para hacerlo. Últimamente acuden muchos japoneses, por ejemplo. Me crucé con varios. 😊
