Flor de Cactus. Haiku #11. 🌵 Cactus flower
Siguiendo con la serie de haikus, basados en flores, cuyo objetivo final es conseguir hacer un calendario, aquí os traigo la entrega número 11.
Following with the series of haikus, based on flowers, whose final objective is to make a calendar, here I bring you the delivery number 11.
Delicada flor
Frágil entre espinas
Duele quererte

La Chumbera
La Chumbera es un tipo de cactus, también es denominada tunera o penca (su nombre científico es Opuntia) y procede de la zona de México y Sur de los Estados Unidos.
Está muy extendida en nuestras Islas Canarias por el clima tropical que tenemos. Crece bien en zonas secas y áridas.
Su fruto se denomina en Canarias “higo pico”, en otros sitios “higo chumbo”. Esta fruta tiene una forma parecida a un huevo, su piel es gruesa y está recubierto por diminutas púas. Hay unas pinzas especiales para cogerlos y hay que tener cuidado al manipularlos.
Florece sólo una vez al año, en primavera, produciendo unas delicadas flores amarillas con tintes naranjas e incluso rojos. La flor tiene la forma de una copa o cáliz.
Esta flor tan llamativa y luminosa siempre me impresiona por su contraste con la planta espinosa.
Existen diversas variedades de higos picos en Canarias y estas se diferencian por sus distintos colores y el tamaño de los higos.
Propiedades y beneficios del higo pico
El higo pico es un fruto que tiene pocas calorías y casi ninguna grasa pero contiene
antioxidantes naturales ya que contiene mucha vitamina C, betacarotenos y tocoferol.
También, como contiene flavonoides, tiene efectos protectores del buen estado cardiovascular.
En las Islas Canarias, el consumo del higo pico gusta mucho. Se consume fresco, pelado y crudo,
Como curiosidad os indico que, debido a los tintes del higo pico, tras consumirlo, la orina adquiere un color rojo/naranja.
Es muy rico en fibra soluble, por contener una gran cantidad de semillas que no se digieren.
Precisamente estos residuos, tienen un cierto peligro y hay que ingerirlos con precaución. No es recomendable tomar muchas cantidades juntas porque pueden provocar obstrucciones intestinales. Un acúmulo de semillas puede formar una auténtica piedra fecal y ocasionar una oclusión intestinal e incluso una perforación.
The Chumbera
The Chumbera is a type of cactus, is also called tunera or penca (its scientific name is Opuntia) and comes from the area of Mexico and South of the United States.
It is very widespread in our Canary Islands because of the tropical climate we have. It grows well in dry and arid areas.
Its fruit is called in the Canary Islands "fig peak", in other places "prickly pear". This fruit has an egg-like shape, its skin is thick and is covered by tiny spines. There are special tweezers to catch them and you have to be careful when handling them.
It blooms only once a year, in spring, producing delicate yellow flowers with orange and even red tints. The flower has the shape of a cup or chalice.
This flower so striking and luminous always impresses me by its contrast with the thorny plant.
There are several varieties of figs in the Canary Islands and these are differentiated by their different colors and the size of the figs.
Properties and benefits of the pico fig
The peak fig is a fruit that has few calories and almost no fat but contains natural antioxidants since it contains a lot of vitamin C, beta-carotene and tocopherol.
Also, as it contains flavonoids, it has protective effects of good cardiovascular fitness.
In the Canary Islands, the consumption of the peak fig is very popular. It is consumed fresh, peeled and raw.
As a curiosity I indicate that, due to the dyes of the beak, after consuming it, the urine acquires a red / orange color.
It is very rich in soluble fiber, because it contains a large amount of seeds that are not digested.
Precisely these residues, have a certain danger and must be eaten with caution. It is not advisable to take many quantities together because they can cause intestinal obstructions. An accumulation of seeds can form an authentic fecal stone and cause an intestinal occlusion and even a perforation.
El haiku
El haiku es un tipo de poesía muy antigua que tiene su origen en el Japón tradicional.
Exige un importante ejercicio de síntesis puesto que consiste un breve poema que se escribe sólo con tres versos de cinco, siete y cinco sílabas,
La temática del haiku suele ser el asombro que origina en el poeta la contemplación de la naturaleza y la emoción que en él produce.
Los expertos en hacer buenos haikus indican que el tiempo y el espacio en el que desarrolla el poema deben ser siempre el "aquí” y el “ahora".
El haiku no expresa un juicio de belleza, fealdad, bondad o malicia, solo describe la esencia innata de las cosas.
Los haikus se deben leer con detenimiento, lentamente, sintiendo y disfrutando las palabras, con todos los sentidos abiertos para poder captar todo su sabor.
Una idea muy interesante y difícil de conseguir es escribir el haiku en base a dos ideas que el poeta relaciona entre si.
Los haikus son composiciones visuales, descripciones concisas, fotográficas. Se proponen evocar emociones y sentimientos. Nuestra mente debe añadir y aportar lo que el breve texto sugiere. Si dedicas algo de tiempo a imaginar las escenas que sugieren los haikus, los apreciarás mucho más.
The haiku
Haiku is a very old type of poetry that has its origin in traditional Japan.
It requires an important exercise of synthesis since it consists of a short poem that is written only with three verses of five, seven and five syllables,
The theme of haiku is usually the amazement that originates in the poet the contemplation of nature and the emotion that it produces.
The experts in making good haikus indicate that the time and space in which the poem develops should always be the "here" and the "now."
Haiku does not express a judgment of beauty, ugliness, kindness or malice, it only describes the innate essence of things.
The haikus should be read carefully, slowly, feeling and enjoying the words, with all the senses open to capture all its flavor.
A very interesting and difficult to achieve idea is to write the haiku in base to two ideas that the poet relates to each other
Haikus are visual compositions, concise, photographic descriptions. They propose to evoke emotions and feelings. Our mind must add and contribute what the short text suggests. If you spend some time imagining the scenes suggested by the haikus, you will appreciate them much more.

Cómo lo hago
Hice las fotografías con mi iPhone X. Para la edición utilicé la aplicación Snapseed y para la firma digital usé la App Watermark.
Todo lo que hice en mi teléfono móvil, no usé la computadora en absoluto.
Hice esta foto con la función “Luz de escenario mono” en el apartado “Retrato”.
Los dibujos los hice en el iPad con el programa Sketches.
For the photography I use my iPhone X. For edition I use the Snapseed application and for the digital signature the Watermark app.
Everything I did on my mobile phone, I did not use the computer at all.
I made this photo with the function "Mono stage light" in the "Portrait" section.
For the drawings, I use the Sketches program and paint them on the tablet.

Felicitaciones por el reconocimiento, bien merecido! El haiku hace gala inédita a la imagen. Todas quedaron hermosas, los colores se ven bellos en su conjunto y la flor ni te digo. Quizá tenga también algunas propiedades y puede ingerirse en té. Al cactus le he tenido ciertos miedo por ignorancia. Sé que es muy consumida en México. Aquí se dan varios tipos y esos frutos se puerden porque no sabemos usarlo. Igual he visto recetas mexicanas donde consumen la parte verde. Una vez en Curazao quise comer su plato tipico y cuando vi que era una sopa babosa elaborada con algo como eso desistí de la idea jajaja. Buen documental amigo.

Te has vuelto un experto con el procesado, eso de oscurecer el fondo le da mucha vida a la imagen. Aquí hay uno parecido al que llamas higo pico. En unas zonas del Estado Lara le dicen "Lefaria". Felicitaciones. Abrazos.

Estoy intentando completar 13 Haikus con un diseño similar con el fondo oscurecido. El fondo oscurecido lo consigo bajando la exposición en esa zona de la foto con el programa Snapseed.

¡Donde menos nos imaginamos, hay belleza! Hermosas fotografías, @volcandemorcilla. Me encantaron las flores de esos cactus.
He comprobado que plantas tan feas como los cactus producen flores espectaculares. A veces, exageradamente grandes. Hoy he observado algunas flores naranjas, osea que no todas son amarillas.
