The Verb "Conocer" (to know) in Spanish and How to Use It

I have already uploaded my post about the verb saber which also means to know in Spanish. There are differences as to when it's acceptable to use each verb.

Let's talk about those first.

Saber: used to talk about facts. We use it to talk about information we know or to say "I know how to ________" (anything).

Conocer: used to talk about familiarity with a certain person, place or thing. You use it when you could replace "know" with "am acquainted with." For example, "I am acquainted with that lady over there." (I know her).

Now let's talk about conjugation in the present tense.

Conocer is an -ER verb with an irregular yo (I) form. The rest of the conjugations are done just like a regular -ER verb.

Here is how we conjugate:

Yo conozco. = I know.
Tú conoces. = You know.
Él/Ella/Usted conoce = He/She/You (formal) know(s).
Nosotros(as) conocemos. = We know.
Vosotros(as) conocéis = You all (Spain) know.
Ellos(as)/Ustedes conocen = They/You all (Latin America + Spain ((formal)) know

Now let's use these conjugations in some everyday sentences.

1. Yo te conozco. = I know you.
2. Tú no me conoces. = You don't know me.
3. Ella conoce a la maestra. = She knows the teacher. (Notice that when I say that someone knows someone specific, I need to put a personal a before the object.
4. Nosotros conocemos a tu tío. = We know your uncle.
5. ¿Vosotras conocéis a mi hermano? = You you girls (Spain) know my brother? (notice how adding question marks makes it interrogative. I don't need to switch the grammatical order at all.
6. Ustedes no conocen a Mary. = You all (Latin America + Spain (formal)) don't know Mary.
