RE: ¿Que compras con un salario mínimo en Venezuela?-¿What do you buy with a minimum wage in Venezuela?

in #spanish7 years ago

This small basket of food costs you more than one-third of a month's salary in Venezuela. According to oanda.com the price of this food converted to USD is $5.25. I don't know if that corresponds to the official exchange rate, or the black-market rate. There must be many hungry people in Venezuela.

friend officially here is not working with that official dollar price so there are so many people passing need and hunger, I will soon post a post about people on the street. regards

To help me understand this better, how many Bs can I get on the black-market with US$10 cash?

you can get around 300.000 bs with the actual rate... There is only one way of changing USD to bolivares, and thats the black market... There is actually no official or regulated market, USD is actually banned in Venezuela, despite the fact that everything is imported and we need USD to import and produce all we eat or wear or use... We are basically forced to break the law to survive, this is crazy!

that depends, since there is a foreign exchange control imposed by the government, there is no free market. That increases the USB price in cash. approximately in the black market can obtain 200,000 bs in exchange for the 10 USD with a tendency to rise for inflation.

the Government intervenes directly in the foreign exchange market, controlling the inflows or outflows of capital, for exchange control.
