An increasingly bright future - South Korea joins the crypto side
On August 13, a press release was issued by the South Korean Government, where it excluded the Exchanges from cryptocurrencies of the legislation of venture companies. This statement was transmitted by the "Minister of Small and Medium Enterprises and Startups" where he indicated:
In spite of the previous decisions that would have this new categorization, it would place the Exchange in the section of bars and nightclubs, considering them as non-risky ventures.
In any way, South Korea will not take regulation measures for cryptocurrencies, and the ministry will be in charge of promoting blockchain technology, as well as related companies of the sector at the governmental level.
This is great news!
At the beginning of the year in South Korea, it was declared that the Exchange must comply with banking and tax obligations after the beginning of a series of regulations, to which the government still maintains a firm position together with a strict surveillance of the cryptoactive industries.
It is very important everything said above, it is noteworthy that South Korea, despite its rigorous surveillance by the government, has a very active market in terms of cryptocurrencies as they are big influencers and helpers in the development of the blockchain and cryptoactive ecosystem.
