Buenos días a todos y feliz lunes, hoy quiero presentarles una foto que capturé en el patio trasero de mi casa, es la foto de un castaño (Sterculia Apetala), este es el árbol emblemático del estado de Carabobo, es de gran tamaño y proporciona gran sombra, su fruto el castaño (Castanea Vulgaris), es un fruto espinoso y las semillas son comestibles, la semilla es muy sabrosa y se puede comer: Tostada, horneada, hervida (mi favorita) se puede incluso preparar harina de castaña, sus semillas son muy beneficiosas para nuestra salud porque son buenas para las personas con diabetes, hipertensas y son un excelente cardioprotector.
