Restaurante Ocafú / Ocafú Restaurant

El otro día quedé con unos amigos y nos apetecía tomar una buena tortilla de patata. En Madrid hay sitios muy buenos en los que saborear este plato, os puedo aconsejar unos que a mí me parecen de lo mejor para degustar una buena tortilla de patata. Entre ellos están el Sylkar (muy cerca de la calle Ponzano), la Penela,Las Tortillas de Gabino y ahora también a añadir a esta lista Ocafú.
Se trata de un restaurante del mismo grupo que la Penela y la verdad que en la tortilla se nota, están hechas de la misma manera, súper jugosas por dentro, muy poco cuajadas, como debe ser en una tortilla de patata.
Some friends and I wanted to have a good potato omelette the other day. In Madrid there are very good places to taste this dish, I can suggest you some of them that I think are the best to taste a good potato omelette. Among them are Sylkar (very close to Calle Ponzano), La Penela, Las Tortillas de Gabino and now you should also add to this list Ocafú.
It is a restaurant of the same group as the Penela and the truth is that the tortilla is exquisite, they made it in the same way, super juicy inside, very little curdled, as it should be in a potato omelet.
Además de la tortilla pedimos unas navajas (como ya afirmé anteriormente en otro post es uno de mis entrantes preferidos), unas almejas a la marinera, pulpo y unos taquitos de croca con patatas y pimientos de piquillo.
In addition to the spanish omelette we ordered some razor-shell (as I stated earlier in another post is one of my favorite appetizers), clams “a la marinera” (this is the sauce), octopus and some taquitos of meat with potatoes and peppers.
La verdad que la croca no la había probado nunca y me gustó mucho. Se trata de un término gallego que se refiere a la "cadera" (una de las piezas más apreciadas de la ternera).
The truth is that I have never tried before the croca and I liked it a lot. It is a Galician term that refers to the "hip" (one of the most appreciated pieces of the beef).
Mencionar que en este restaurante no tienen estrella Galicia, solo Mahou (que raro que en un restaurante gallego no tengan cerveza gallega). Pero bueno, como sabéis, cualquier plato sienta mejor con una cerveza fresca. 🍺
To mention that in this restaurant they do not have a galician beer (estrella galicia), only Mahou (it's strange that in a Galician restaurant they do not have Galician beer). But, as you already know, any dish tastes better with a fresh beer.🍺

Conozco este restaurante. Es cierto que hacen las tortillas muy poco hechas. Estilo Betanzos. Muy ricas!
