Dead for Covid-19 vs. dead for hunger Argentina 2020
Argentina, end of June 2020
Our country, like that of all our world brothers, is going through the pandemic "gracefully".
However this information may be confusing, let's see why:
The measures taken by the national government, in terms of health, were adequate... but...
can Argentina really take those measures when the economic situation does not support the fact
NOT work? A country that does not produce, a country that has been bankrupt for several years, a country where the
unemployment and poverty is commonplace (whoever governs it), it is a lost and submerged country
in ignorance.
Some will say, "But we've gained in health." "We can get out of an economic crisis, but not out of death."
Okay. Let's see: As the economic reopening phases progressed, the cases rose sharply, as was to be expected.
The media echoed this to publish day by day the number of infected and sick people.
But... they never publish the unemployment rate and the number of deaths from hunger (literally) that will exceed
to the numbers of deaths from this pandemic.
Others will say that the count is low precisely because the health system was not saturated. Okay. But... there are already more
dead from other diseases (cancer, heart disease, infections, etc.) than from covid-19. So... It equates to
economic, social and health with the number of collateral deaths? Who does this situation really benefit?
By this I am not saying that we should not take care of ourselves, we should clean our hands, use mouth caps, keep the
official distancing, but also not forgetting everything else that at least in this country, it's another kind of pandemic
more lethal and mortifying.

Nuestro país, como el de todos nuestros hermanos mundiales, está atravesando la pandemia de "forma airosa".
Sin embargo esta información puede ser confusa, veamos porque:
Las medidas tomadas por el gobierno nacional, en materia de salud, fueron las adecuadas... pero...
puede Argentina realmente tomar esas medidas cuando la situación económica no respalda el hecho de
NO trabajar? Un país que no produce, un país que está en quiebra hace varios años, un país en donde el
desempleo y la pobreza es moneda corriente (Gobierne quien lo gobierne), es un país perdido y sumergido
en la ignotancia.
Algunos dirán "Pero ganamos en salud" "De una crisis económica podemos salir pero de la muerte no"...
Ok. Veamos: Al correr de las fases de reapertura económica los casos fueron elevando ampliamente, como era previsible.
Los medios de comunicación se hicieron eco de ello para publicar día a día la cantidad de contagiados y descesos.
Pero... nunca publican el índice de desocupación y la cantidad de muertos por hambre (Literalmente) que va a superar
ampliamente a los numeros de muertos por esta pandemia.
Otros diran que el recuento es bajo justamente porque no se saturo el sistema de salud. Ok. Pero... ya son mas los
muertos por otras enfermedades (Cancer, cardiacas, infecciones, etc) que por covid-19. Entonces... Se equipara el parate
económico, social y de salud con la cantidad de muertes colaterales? A quién favorece realmente esta situación?
Con esto no estoy diciendo que no debemos cuidarnos, debemos higienizarnos las manos, usar tapa bocas, mantener el
distanciamiento oficial, pero así mismo no olvidar todo lo demas que al menos en este país, es otro tipo de pandemia
mas letal y mortifera.
