The Blockchain and US es un documental de Manuel Stagars que utiliza el formato entrevista con desarrolladores de software, criptólogos, investigadores, políticos, consultores y emprendedores para explicar los intríngulis del que probablemente ha sido uno de los «inventos» más relevantes de los últimos tiempos: El blockchain.
Esta especie de libro de contabilidad público donde se apuntan todas las transacciones con unas marcas de tiempo que lo hacen inquebrantable facilitó la popularización de las criptodivistas, en especial de bitcoin. Pero también tiene otras muchas aplicaciones.
En 30 minutos se puede aprender algo más sobre cómo los diversos expertos explican algunas de las cuestiones más relevantes de este campo. ¿En qué beneficia el blockchain a las economías de las naciones? ¿Cómo afectará a la sociedad? ¿Cómo nos afectará a título personal? Todo esto se trata sin entrar en los detalles técnicos sobre los cuales hay otros muchos interesantes documentales sino más bien el del fenómeno social.
Además del vídeo se puede acceder en la web del proyecto a las entrevistas completas con cada uno de los protagonistas, para escuchar todo lo que tienen que decir sobre las cuestiones planteadas.
