Diversifica tus ingresos 💡
Después de estudiar los hábitos diarios de ricos y pobres por cinco años, el autor Thomas C. Corley, encontró que los millonarios tenían diversidad en sus fuentes de ingresos. De hecho, 65 por ciento tenía tres ingresos distintos. “Tener múltiples fuentes de ingreso tiene mucho sentido”, escribe Corley. “Cuando una fuente es negativamente afectada por la economía, de lo cual no tienes control, las otras fuentes pueden rescatarte y ayudarte a sobrevivir, sin ver tu estilo de vida dramáticamente afectado”. Múltiples fuentes de ingreso te permiten pagar tus deudas (como esos enormes préstamos universitarios) más rápido. Cuando las deudas están resueltas, empieza a depositar aquellos pagos de préstamos en tu cuenta de ahorro para invertirlos.
Desde que nosotros vivimos en una economía cambiante, tener múltiples fuentes de ingreso nunca ha sido tan fácil. Podrías empezar manejando para Lyft o Uber, rentar un cuarto para Airbnb o tener un trabajo freelance cuando tengas tiempo libre. Cuando yo empecé, tenía trabajos de freelance que me habían traído en una saludable situación financiera por seis meses. Eso me dio múltiples fuentes de ingreso para invertir en otras áreas.
