A veces, por querer llevarnos las migajas, terminamos perdiendo todo el pastel. La generosidad tiene algo de relación con el hecho de ayudar a las otras personas. Se cumple la misma ley universal. Cuando somos generosos con las otras personas, esta generosidad nos es devuelta en cantidades todavía mayores a las que nosotros hemos dado en un principio. No todo puede ser para nosotros, y sólo para nosotros.
No podemos tener un pensamiento tan básico que nos induzca a pensar que no necesitamos a nadie más para ser personas exitosas en nuestro trabajo o en nuestras relaciones. Los seres humanos necesitan la cooperación de otros seres humanos para prosperar, en todos los niveles. Ser generosos marcará la diferencia en nosotros.

Entiendo la generosidad como un valor humano que representan las acciones en pro del bienestar, tanto para humanos como para otras especies, pero otros la entienden como un simple acto de dar dinero y posesiones a otros de forma desinteresada.
