Bitcoin en Argentina
El Gobierno Argentino ha sido líder y ejemplo a seguir en América Latina en implementación del Bitcoin como alternativa monetaria para sus ciudadanos.
En sus inicios los Argentinos vieron en el Bitcoin una forma de poder preservar su patrimonio para protegerlo de la tasa de inflación que rondaba por el 25% y de las políticas arbitrarias relacionadas con el dinero expedidas por el Gobierno.
Afortunadamente, a pesar de no establecer un marco legal para regular los pagos en Bitcoin, el Gobierno no ha mostrado oposición alguna con el uso de Criptomonedas y el mismo Banco Central anunció en el 2016 que no tenía objeción alguna.
Todas estas circunstancias han traído una implementación bastante amplia de la criptomoneda logrando muchas cosas tales como el surgimiento temprano de compañías que prestan servicios que facilitan el uso del Bitcoin, tales como Bitex, Satoshi Tango y Ripio, también el establecimiento en 2014 de compañías internacionales como Bitpay. Hoy en dia en Argentina hay un total 15 compañías tanto nacionales como extranjeras.
También se puede realizar el pago de servicios con bitcoins y pagar en ciertos restaurantes, bares y heladerías. Una casa de e-commerce de electrodomésticos permite pagos en la moneda y hasta hay psicólogos, profesores particulares y abogados que la aceptan. Además, hay servicios del exterior que se pueden abonar con bitcoins.
La compañía Ripio manifestó contar con 40.000 usuarios y 600 comercios en Argentina.
Leer la historia del Bitcoin en Argentina me lleva a concluir que siempre y cuando no exista desinformación por parte de medios y autoridades como ocurre en Colombia, el uso del Bitcoin puede extenderse y beneficiar a muchas personas.
Es hora de que actores locales y emprendedores tomen la iniciativa para difundir el uso de estas tecnologías que contribuyen al desarrollo de la región.
