One of my life projects is publishing a story dedicated to the Cardinal, and in a previous post I told you that this little bird is in danger of extinction. Like many other species that are like this because of their trade or pollution of their environment. (This first illustration that I share with you is part of this project).

On behalf of us is to continue contributing or not to this situation, and a little to raise awareness about this situation I have created an illustrated album or children's story, so that who has the opportunity to read it feel some empathy for this and all the natural species of the planet.

The more information we have about something, the more capacity we will have to improve it, to change it or to preserve it. In this infographic published by the newspaper El Universal, the situation of this Latin American bird is very well explained. Figures as shocking as: capture 100 birds for sale, survive 10 and only 2 birds live a year of capture. Something completely inhuman.

Pablo Rodríguez, Venezuelan musician, also wanted to talk about the danger that this bird lives to the rhythm of the Tocuyano Strike, rhythm characteristic of an area of ​​the Lara state, called El Tocuyo.

In Venezuela we had the Cardenalito present on the back of the old 100 bills, but perhaps this act was not enough but to make visible something that still few know, there are still more actions that will reverse the commercialization of animals.
