Elon Musk advierte: La competencia por la superioridad de AI podría provocar un conflicto global
El empresario Elon Musk ha advertido de nuevo de los riesgos de la inteligencia artificial, esta vez advirtiendo que la competencia entre las naciones sobre la IA podría desencadenar la Tercera Guerra Mundial.
En respuesta a una historia citando al presidente ruso Vladimir Putin diciendo que cualquier país que se convierta en el líder en AI "se convertirá en el gobernante del mundo", Musk twitteó: "Comienza ..."
Continuó: " La competencia por la superioridad de AI a nivel nacional podria ser la causa más probable de la WW3", dijo.
"Puede ser iniciado no por los líderes del país, sino uno de los AI, si decide que un ataque preventivo es el camino más probable a la victoria", prosiguió.
Cuando se señaló que los gobiernos no son muy buenos en la construcción de la IA, él respondió: "Los gobiernos no necesitan seguir las leyes normales y obtendrán la IA desarrollada por las compañías a punta de pistola, si es necesario".
Musk ha advertido desde hace mucho tiempo sobre los riesgos de la IA, firmando recientemente una carta proponiendo una prohibición del desarrollo y uso de sistemas de armas autónomos.
En julio advirtió que la IA necesitaba ser regulada mejor antes de que fuera demasiado tarde, y dijo que la AI es un "riesgo fundamental para la existencia de la civilización humana" y necesita una supervisión reguladora proactiva.
"Tengo una exposición a la IA más vanguardista y creo que la gente debería estar realmente preocupada por ello. Sigo sonando como una campana de alarma, pero hasta que la gente ve a los robots que van por la calle matando gente, no saben cómo reaccionar porque parece tan etéreo ", dijo a los gobernadores.
