Dos días en la ciudad de Caracas // Two days in the city of Caracas

El día martes 20 viaje a Caracas donde pase dos días maravillosos en la capital de Venezuela, digo que son maravillosos porque por ese corto periodo de tiempo salí de mi vida rutinaria e hice y vi cosas diferentes. Porque por otro lado estar en la capital es correr los peligros que encierra Caracas.

El viaje no fue de placer, fui allá por dos cosas; legalizar mi título universitario y sacar mi cédula (documento de identidad). Las cuales por la situación del país son obligatorias hacerlas en la capital, en Barquisimeto no están sacando cédulas. Así de mal estamos.

Pero en algunos pequeños espacio de tiempos saque mi celular LG Nexus 5 y tome unas fotos maravillosas que quiero compartir con ustedes.

On Tuesday 20, I travel to Caracas where I spend two wonderful days in the capital of Venezuela, I say they are wonderful because for that short period of time I left my routine life and did and saw different things. Because on the other hand being in the capital is running the dangers that surrounds Caracas.

The trip was not for pleasure, I went there for two things; Legalize my university degree and remove my identity card. Which by the situation of the country are obligatory to do them in the capital, in Barquisimeto they are not taking cedulas. That's how bad we are.

But in some small space of time take out my LG Nexus 5 phone and take some wonderful photos that I want to share with you.

Para pasar el rato siempre es bueno conversar y hacer nuevas amistades. /// To hang out, it is always good to talk and make new friends.

En una capital como Caracas puedes conseguir cosas surreales como ésta. /// In a capital like Caracas you can get surreal things like this.

Antes de tomar estas fotos me aseguré bien que no hubiera nadie sospechoso cerca de mí, para no ser víctima de robo. Hubo más cosas que quise fotografiar pero las zonas no eran seguras.

Mi experiencia en la capital fue diferente y me ayudo a salir de la rutina que ha estado desgastando mi espíritu y cuerpo. Importante salir de las rutinas.

La ciudad de Caracas está un poco diferente en comparación a la Caracas que conocí hace 20 años, el desdén por los edificios públicos se nota, lámparas rotas, paredes rayadas, etc. El metro de la ciudad está hecho un fiasco, la gente anda siempre atropellando y a la defensiva. Pero entre todo eso hay cosas que brillan por luz propia, tan solo hay que saber mirar y observar.

Pero lo que más me conmovió es la siguiente foto:

Before taking these photos, I made sure that nobody was suspicious near me, so as not to be a victim of theft. There were more things I wanted to photograph but the areas were not safe.

My experience in the capital was different and helped me out of the routine that has been wearing my spirit and body. Important to leave the routines.

The city of Caracas is a bit different compared to the Caracas I met 20 years ago, the disdain for public buildings is noticeable, broken lamps, scratched walls, etc. The subway of the city is made a fiasco, people are always running over and defensive. But among all that there are things that shine by their own light, you just have to know how to look and observe.
