Usos y Beneficios del Aceite de Coco
El aceite de coco es uno de mis aceites preferidos a la hora de cocinar y también para usar en mi piel y cabello.
Yo no tenia idea de la existencia del mismo hasta que empece a viajar por Latinoamérica, y me di cuenta que muchas personas lo usaban para el cuidado del cabello, y de ahí empece a usarlo.
En temperaturas mas frías el aceite de coco se solidifica, por lo que te recomiendo calentarlo un poquito si necesitas usarlo en su forma liquida, aunque si vas a usar un poquito para tu piel o cabello, se disolverá con el calor de las manos.
Aceite de coco
Cuidado del cabello:
El aceite de coco contiene vitamina E, por lo que es ideal para usar en la piel y el cabello.
Cuando uso el aceite de coco en mi cabellera, utilizo una pequeña cantidad y la disuelvo en mis manos, luego lo aplico desde las puntas hacia el cuero cabelludo, cuidando de no excederme ya que demasiado aceite puede hacer que el cabello se vea grasoso y sucio.
El aceite de coco humecta el cabello de una forma casi instantánea, ya que es uno de los pocos aceites que penetran la fibra capilar, por lo que nutre el cabello desde adentro hacia afuera, ademas es de gran ayuda en el crecimiento del cabello y a prevenir las puntas abiertas.
Cuidado de la piel :
El aceite de coco es utilizado para masajes, ya que humecta la piel y la deja suave, también puede usarse en la piel del rostro, aunque te recomiendo que uses solo un poquito ya que la piel genera aceites naturales, por lo que un exceso de aceite hará que tu piel luzca grasosa y podría obstruir los poros.
Cuidado dental:
El aceite de coco es genial para blanquear los dientes y cuidar de la higiene bucal, ay que tiene propiedades anti bacterianas.
La manera de incorporar el aceite de coco en tu higiene bucal puede ser haciendo el famoso "oil pulling", que consiste en introducir una cucharada (aprox.) de aceite de coco en tu boca y hacer buches con este por unos 10 a 15 minutos, diariamente.
Uso comestible:
Yo lo utilizo mucho en la cocina, ya que su sabor es muy suave y ademas es muy fácil de digerir. el aceite de coco puede utilizarse en reemplazo de otros aceites, aunque no debe ser sobre calentarse y la temperatura máxima debe ser 175 C (350F) y yo lo uso mucho cuando hago licuados, siempre les agrego una cucharada de aceite de coco.
Beneficios para la salud en general:
El aceite de coco es muy saludable, ya que es un aceite que contiene un tipo de ácidos grasos muy beneficiosos para la salud en general, llamados triglicéridos de cadena media.
El aceite de coco puede ayudar en la perdida de peso, ya que acelera el metabolismo. Ademas ayuda a combatir infecciones y a fortalecer el sistema inmunológico.
