Mandala Henna Djembé🎶 [Original Art]
Hola! estos días he estado un poco alejada de #Steemit y el porque de eso es que he estado creando muuucha arte, y de a poco los voy compartiendo aquí y en mi Instagram
En una publicación anterior les había mostrado algunos tambores quehe decorado con #henna el año pasado.
Hoy les muestro mi mas reciente djembé decorado con henna!

Yo decoro los tambores con pasta de henna fresca, después de un tiempo la henna se puede quitar y esta deja un color marrón obscuro sobre la piel del tambor (si el tambor es de acrílico, entonces la henna no dejará color alguno), ya que la piel del tambor es piel muerta, y no se renueva, la henna se queda permanentemente en la piel de los tambores.
Desde cerquita, se ve tan bonito!
El arte con henna en los tambores es un arte muy antiguo, yo lo aprendí cuando fui a una conferencia de henna, y tomé una clase llamada "Haciendo henna a todas las cosas" jajaja mi maestra de esa clase es una artista de henna que admiro mucho, Penni Al Zayer también conocida como el "hada de la henna" o "The Henna Faerie", puedes chequear su arte haciendo click aquí
Como aprendí en esa clase, muchas superficies pueden ser decoradas con henna, y definitivamente a mí me encanta decorar tambores!

Thank you @sykochica! You can always look for a henna artist in your area, not all henna artists decorate drums, but some (like me) do. If you go for it, just remember that the henna needs to be 100%natural, and handmade, otherwise chemical "henna" could damage the skin of the drums.
Oh nice, thank you! I'll do some looking around for people in the area that do drum henna..it'd be pretty sweet. Great tip on it being natural...that'd suck to have the heads damaged. They've lasted me the last 15 years or so and hate to see something happen to them now.
Yes, just make sure that you ask the artist what is in their henna paste, they should be able to tell you, and it should be a simple recipe, for example, I mix my henna paste with:
So basically stay away of any henna that looks like these "henna" cones in the image below:
