Hola a todos mis seguidores, desde hace varios post muchos de ustedes me han pedido que comparta algo positivo de Cuba, (y claro que todo acá no es negativo), hay lugares realmente hermosos y destinos turísticos increíbles.
También me han pedido que cuente un poco más sobre las cosas de la Isla, cómo funcionan algunos servicios como la medicina o la educación, en próximos post estaré tocando algunos de estos temas…
Como estoy aquí para complacerlos a todos y mi mayor objetivo en este blog es que los que no han tenido la posibilidad de visitar Cuba conozcan un poco más sobre cómo vivimos acá y sobre las cosas increíbles de la Isla, hoy les quiero mostrar “El Cristo de la Habana”.

El Cristo de La Habana es una escultura que representa a Jesús de Nazaret y fue esculpida por la artista cubana Jilma Madera, esta maravilla hecha de mármol italiano, tiene una altura de 20 metros, un peso de 320 toneladas y descansa sobre una base de 3 metros.
Está ubicada en el poblado de Casa Blanca, en el municipio de Regla y fue inaugurada oficialmente el 24 de diciembre de 1958, 15 días después de su inauguración entró Fidel Castro a la Habana después de derrocar el gobierno de Fulgencio Batista.

El Cristo de la habana como se conoce en Cuba fue esculpido en Italia y bendecido por el papa Pío XII, posteriormente fue trasladada a la Habana en 67 partes. Como dato curioso la escultura en los años 1961, 1962, 1986 fue golpeada por rayos y sufrió algunos daños, desde entonces se le colocó un pararrayos para evitar las averías por estos fenómenos.
Hoy en día es un destino turístico muy visitado por las hermosas vistas que ofrece directamente a la ciudad de la Habana y al malecón habanero, la estatua está ubicada a 51 metros sobre el nivel del mar y colinda directamente con la bahía de la habana y el castillos del morro ofreciendo a los visitantes un experiencia única, el lugar se pueden encontrar músicos que deleitan a los visitantes con canciones de la trova tradicional de la Isla y también muchos trabajadores artesanos que ofrecen múltiples objetos y recuerdos del lugar.
