BILINGUAL CRYPTO-COMMUNITY - Bringing Latin America into blockchain's scope: how to get started, fiat gateways, common procedures, tips, insights, etc...

So, you've been hearing a lot about bitcoin lately and you want in. However, for someone who has never traded cryptocurrency, or currencies for that matter, getting started may seem like an overwhelming task. Getting bitcoin, is it really that complicated? It can be for a lot of people, specially for those residing in countries with no direct fiat gateway. Mexico was a good example of this situation up until 2016, when Bitso.com started to become popular (to a relative extent, because trading crypto is still something unknown to the vast majority of the population). There may be a lot of countries in Latin America that lack a currency-specific gateway, like Honduras, for instance. If I lived in Tegucigalpa, owned only Lempiras (HNL), and had little to no computer literacy (my 69 year old aunt, by the way), oh man, I would be looking at an almost impossible task.

However, the fact that new ways of social media are emerging, and considering that language can only be a barrier when there is not a supportive same language-speaking community, enable us to spread the privilege that is to trade cryptocurrencies to those who want in but that are, in some way, limited.

Hence, I am putting efforts into creating a bilingual (English- Spanish) community where all those people limited by either language barriers or financial technicalities can get benefitted, and also, to converge all our opinions and knowledge into a supportive, educating environment. That way, maybe those of us who have a little more experience in trading crypto, can learn from others in a different way, not to mention the fact of getting our word further. Plus, it's always a plus to acknowledge the satisfaction that helping others brings.

Here's a quick example: I don't speak English, and every platform is in English, but I don't really know what 'correction'. 'fiat currency', 'ledger', long', 'settle', 'MACD' or 'consolidation' mean. I could avoid mistakes if I could have the ease of posting a question in Spanish where I know someone will translate it promptly to English for English speakers to answer. Parallel to this, I may be interested in trading BTC to MXN just because the price on Bitso.com is incredibly high (as it has shown to be in the past), but I can only do it with the aid of someone holding an account in Bitso.com (of course you can request for an account, but verification would annihilate all advantages if time happens to run against you.

There might be hundreds, or even thousands of ways in which we can collaborate conjunctively in the creation of this multicultural, bilingual community - English and Spanish are spoken practically worldwide, and there is an infinite combination of language pairs that can indirectly feed the community - So , if you've got an idea, please do post it here so we can feed the project and hopefully within a few weeks, we may see something important start running. Ultimately, it's all about connecting us and connecting others to what brings us good.
