Upbeat, fun & with a really lovely South American flavour!! Im guessing you had a LOT of fun & laughing in those first rehearsals. Are the children playing by ear, feel & memory or are they also learning to read music? Are the bells typical in Venezuelan music? Look forward to LOTS of posts about what you do. 🎶🎵
Nuestro Maestro, el profe @kantos nos dio talleres de Campanas de Colores hace un año, hemos venido trabajando esto de la manera académica, primero aprendiendo a leer partituras, luego aprendiendo que cada nota musical tiene un color específico (haremos un post de esto, ya verás) luego relacionamos lo que está escrito en la partitura con los colores, y listo... Solo falta memorizar todo (no es fácil, pero es divertido).
Respondiendo a la otra pregunta... No, las campanas de colores son un invento de Carl Orff (creo que era Europeo) pero es un excelente método de enseñanza de la música y suena hermoso.
En otro post les contaremos como hicimos para obtener esas costosas campanas a través de nuestro Canto.

Our Master, the teacher @kantos gave us workshops of color bells a year ago, we have been working this in the academic way, first learning to read scores, then learning that each musical note has a specific color (we'll make a post of this, you'll see) then relate what is written on the score with the colors, and ready.... Just need to memorize everything (it's not easy, but it's fun).
Answering the other question... No, the colored bells are an invention of Carl Orff (I think it was European) but it is an excellent method of teaching music and sounds beautiful.
In another post we will tell you how we did to get those expensive bells through our Canto.
