Reseña del Bolero: Angustia por Bienvenido Granda
Cuando tenia 15 años y mi papá escuchaba sus boleros en su picot, así le decíamos al tocadiscos en las casas, yo me iba a jugar abajo en el patio de edificio donde vivía. Después de tanto tiempo, ¡gran contrariedad!, hoy me gusta los boleros.
Comenzare esta serie de reseñas de boleros con la canción “angustia” interpretada por Bienvenido Granda con la Sonora Matancera y escrita por el compositor Orlando Brito. Mi escogencia de este bolero, es porque cuando tengo alumnos que se angustian por sus evaluaciones y sus notas, y son excelentes estudiantes le canto parte de esta canción.
Este bolero habla de la desesperación de un hombre o una mujer por perder a su amado y no poderlo besar más. Es una canción romántica y si estas despechado es perfecta para seguir “castigando” tu corazón. Aunque en lo personal no escucho los boleros para eso, mas bien disfruto de su letra, melodía y en este caso su ritmo para bailar.
Si un bolero se puede bailar, y yo en lo particular lo disfruto mucho, ese contacto tan cercano con tu pareja de baile (si lo permite claro, y no te coloca su codo como una gran barrera). Es un ritmo muy suave y yo lo disfruto mucho.
Continuando con el bolero Angustia, de todas las interpretaciones que escuchado de esta canción a que más me gusta es la interpretada por Bienvenido Granda. Su voz le da la melodía un estilo único que se mezcla con el ritmo de la música y tramite el dolor que siente en ese momento el hombre a punto de perder a su amada.
Su letra a pesar de ser corta es intensa:
Angustia de no tenerte a ti
Tormento de no tener tu amor
Angustia de no besarte mas
Nostalgia de no escuchar tu voz
Nunca poderé olvidar
Nuestras noches junto al mar
Contigo se fué toda ilusión
La angustia llenó mi corazón..

*** Review of Bolero: Angustia by Bienvenido Granda***
When I was 15 years old and my dad listened to his boleros in his picot, so we told the turntable in the houses, I was going to play downstairs in the playground building where he lived. After so much time, great disappointment, today I like boleros.
I will begin this series of bolero reviews with the song "angustia" interpreted by Bienvenido Granda with the Sonora Matancera and written by the composer Orlando Brito. My choice of this bolero, is because when I have students who are anguished by their evaluations and their grades, and are excellent students I sing part of this song..
This bolero speaks of the desperation of a man or a woman for losing his beloved and not being able to kiss him more. It is a romantic song and if you are angry it is perfect to continue "punishing" your heart. Although personally I do not listen to boleros for that, I rather enjoy their lyrics, melody and in this case their rhythm to dance.
If a bolero can dance, and I particularly enjoy it, that close contact with your dance partner (if it is clear, and does not place your elbow as a great barrier). It is a very smooth rhythm and I enjoy it very much.
Continuing with the bolero Angustia, of all the interpretations that I heard of this song that I like the most is the one performed by Bienvenido Granda. His voice gives the melody a unique style that mixes with the rhythm of the music and processes the pain that the man on the point of losing his beloved feels at that moment.
