Hi guys! This time I come with another oil painting I finished some days ago, I want to show it to you you but also I want to share a bit of a story that is behind the painting.

This is the one I've submitted for the ArtatSteemfest this year and I really, really hope it gets selected. If not at least I know I did my best and enjoyed uite a lot making it. If you go to lisbon and to the art expo, please take a picture of the painting if ever gets displayed please :)

Sadly this year I won't be able to attend the fest, but next year I definetly have to go.

You might notice the title of this post. Well, there's the story behind. And I know I've said a bit of this in my post about one year on Steemit but here I want to focus on something that have helped me to grow as a Steemian and as an Artist.
And is the witness and curation proyect @cervantes

As I previously said, a year ago when I joined Steemit so many things changed. Ones for worse, other for better. My artist route went to a whole new view when I discovered this place and when I started to get recognition for my art, both in emotional and financtial ways.

So now, I want to focus more in why I've chosed @cervantes as my witness and why should you too.

¡Hola lectores! Esta vez vengo con otra pintura al óleo que terminé hace unos días, quiero mostrarla aquí pero también quiero compartir un poco de una historia que está detrás de la pintura.

Esto es elo que presenté para ArtatSteemfest este año y realmente, realmente espero que sea seleccionado. Si no al menos, sé que hice mi mejor esfuerzo y disfruté mucho haciéndolo. Si alguno de ustedes va a Lisboa y a la exposición de arte, espero que si se topan con mi pintura puedan tomarle una foto :)

Este año no podré asistir al evento pero el año que viene definitivamente debo ir

Como pueden observar en el título de esta publicación; hay una historia detrás. Y sé que he dicho algo de esto en mi post anterior sobre mi primer año en Steemit, pero aquí quiero centrarme en algo que me ha ayudado a crecer como Steemian y como Artista:

Y es el proyecto de testigo y curacion @cervantes

Como dije anteriormente, hace un año, cuando me uní a Steemit, muchas cosas cambiaron. Unos para peor, otro para mejor. La ruta de mi artista tuvo una visión totalmente nueva cuando descubrí este lugar y cuando comencé a obtener reconocimiento por mi arte, tanto emocional como financieramente.

Así que ahora, quiero centrarme más en por qué elegí a @cervantes como mi testigo y por qué tú también deberías considerar darle un voto.

As everything good, the Cervantes proyect started with an idea, a sketch of how to add the Spanish language, -one of the most spoke in the planet- to this platform.

and like that, started my painting

Como todo lo bueno, el proyecto Cervantes comenzó como una idea, un boceto sobre cómo incluir el idioma español; uno de los mas hablados en nuestro planeta, a esta plataforma.

Y justo así comenzó mi pintura

The face of The proyect cervantes became a thing in early 2016 when the two founders and brothers @pgarcgo and @gargon started to curate spanish content with the Official Steem Guild. Back in the early Steemit days, the Guild was founded with ceo @ned and the first whales of here.

So In the name of Miguel de Cervantes the two brothers started to pcurate around 8-10 post per day. The tag spanish once was a very tiny place to be but even in the earliest days, there was some good content going around.

El proyecto Cervantes se convirtió en una realidad a principios de Septiembre del 2016 cuando los dos fundadores y hermanos @pgarcgo y @gargon comenzaron a votar buen contenido en español con el Steem Guild oficial. En los primeros días de Steemit, el Guild o 'Gremio' se fundó con el Ceo @ned y las primeras ballenas que llegaron a este océano de posts.

Entonces, en honor a Miguel de Cervantes, los dos hermanos empezaron a votar aproximadamente 8-10 publicaciones por día. El ahora muy concurrido tag Spanish una vez fue un lugar muy pequeño, pero incluso en los primeros días, había un buen contenido por ahí.

The growth came with all colors and shapes, people with different nationalities, accents, talents, ideas and personal touches. Adding more life to our little ecosystem.

El crecimiento vino de todos los colores y formas. Personas con diferentes nacionalidades, acentos, talentos, ideas y toques personales. Agregaron más vida a nuestro pequeño ecosistema.

Cervantes isn't just a curation proyect. It also runs a node and is a witness for the Steemit blockchain.
it runs also several side proyects such as a magazine with the highlights of the week on the spanish community. A radio podcast called hisparadio and weekly there are contests of photography, writing and more.

The idea is to motivate the spanisk speaker users to create good, original and high quality content on here trought the several ways of expression such art, writing, photograpy, cooking, technology, science and more.

On personal opinion I've found a way to express myself in different ways and to motivate me to create more.

Cervantes no es solo un proyecto de curación. También ejecuta un nodo y es 'witness' o 'testigo' de la cadena de bloques de Steemit.

Así mismo ejecuta varios proyectos paralelos, como una revista o 'magazine' con los mejores momentos de la semana en la comunidad española. Un podcast de radio llamado hisparadio y semanalmente hay concursos de fotografía, escritura y más.

La idea es motivar a los usuarios de habla hispana en crear contenido bueno, original y de alta calidad aquí a través de las diversas formas de expresión tales como arte, escritura, fotografía, cocina, tecnología, ciencia y más.

en lo personal he encontrado mucha motivación para crear y hacer mas arte desde que estoy dentro de Steemit y dentro de la comunidad de @cervantes

The final work of this process and progress is a whole and wide community of spanish speaker users that brings the best of themselves on here.

The flow of pleople in the spanish tag is so big that there are side accounts for curation under cervantes.

This is my version of Miguel de Cervantes, seen from my myopic eyes. Modern, psychedelic..... A more lookalike version of what we do here on Steemit.

Esta es mi versión de Miguel de Cervantes, vista desde mis ojos miopes. Moderno, psicodelico... una visión mas acorde al Cervantes de Steemit.

For those who doesn't know who was Miguel de Cervantes, he was a great spanish writer, the one who wrote Don Quijote and is the face of the spanish language.

Para quienes no saben quién fue Miguel de Cervantes, fue un gran escritor, el que escribió Don Quijote y es la cara o el icono del idioma español.
