El valle de Aurora
La pantalla mostraba imágenes de un valle desértico, en una de sus paredes rocosas se podían ver los derruidos restos de una ciudad, abandonada varias decenas de miles de años atrás, era un montón de celdas ordenadamente ubicadas sobre el empinado muro de rocas, a sus pies en el fondo del valle unos escasos edificios de poca altura, casi completamente destruidos.
-Según los registros hallados en la colonia del cuarto planeta, este valle fue primero una zona minera e industrial y con el tiempo, tras el agotamiento de las minas y el cambio en las condiciones planetarias, después de la limpieza atmosférica fue una zona de cultivo de cereales…- Explicaba el historiador a través del monitor, a un pequeño grupo de cinco exploradores.
-Sabe algo del capitán Quintana, que se va a hacer al respecto, se le va a dejar en manos de los terrestres, ¡no podemos simplemente abandonarlo! – Interrumpió bruscamente el teniente Orville, quien parecía agitado desde el inicio de la reunión.
-No está en mis manos teniente, todos conocemos los riesgos que corremos al estar aquí y estuvimos conformes con ellos cuando aceptamos esta asignación – Respondió la persona en la pantalla.
-Sí, pero no podemos dejarlo en manos de ellos, yo mismo me ofrecí para participar en una misión de rescate- insistió Orville.
-Estoy al tanto de eso teniente, pero como le dije, no está en mis manos, nosotros no estamos aquí para acciones militares, se está trabajando para restablecer canales de comunicación con ellos y negociar su liberación, pero hasta el momento no han querido volver a comunicarse con nosotros, insisten en que hemos venido a quitarles su planeta- Respondió el historiador y continuó explicando en que consistía la tarea que debían realizar los cinco exploradores.
El valle había sido una zona de cultivo, aun al momento de la última oleada de emigración humana a las colonias, en él se había construido una instalación de investigación agrícola, pero eso no era lo que buscaban los historiadores, estaban interesados en una cápsula que fue resguardada antes de la emigración, según los registros hallados en la colonia del cuarto planeta, contenía registros y artículos personales de Aurora Roberti, una antigua historiadora y científica, a quien, en gran parte se le debía la limpieza atmosférica del planeta.
Cuando el historiador hubo terminado de explicar en qué consistía la misión, Orville intervino nuevamente, - ¿Al menos saben como se encuentra Quintana?- preguntó.
-Estamos haciendo todo lo que podemos teniente, según los sensores, el capitán Quintana se encuentra bien, un poco mal alimentado, pero bien, lo mantienen en una habitación con atmósfera artificial, lo han tratado de interrogar, pero como desconocen el funcionamiento del traductor, no han podido hacer mucho, de todas formas, Quintana sabe que no tenemos nada que ocultar, no estamos en ninguna misión de invasión o militar, le aseguro que si pensamos que su vida se encuentra en peligro se tomarán las medidas que sean necesarias. – respondió la persona en el monitor antes de cerrar la comunicación.

The valley had been an area of cultivation, even at the time of the last wave of human migration to the colonies, an agricultural research facility had been built, but that was not what historians were looking for, they were interested in a capsule that It was sheltered before the emigration, according to the records found in the colony of the fourth planet, it contained records and personal articles of Aurora Roberti, a former historian and scientist, who was largely responsible for the atmospheric cleaning of the planet.
