Hoy toca música Venezolana, la que tanto disfruto interpretar para todos ustedes, en ésta ocasión otro Vals Venezolano pero de corte antiguo compuesto en 1904 por Ángel María Landaeta, su titulo "¡Adios! a Ocumare." evoca a una población o municipio del estado Miranda, región conocida como los valles del Tuy colindando con Charallave y Cúa.

Today Venezuelan music is playing, which I enjoy playing for all of you, this time another Venezuelan Waltz but of an old style composed in 1904 by Ángel María Landaeta, his title "Goodbye to Ocumare." evokes a population or municipality of Miranda state, a region known as the Tuy valleys adjoining Charallave and Cúa.

Ángel María Landaeta nació en 1872 en Petare. Aprendió musica con su padre tocaba el violín guitarra y organo, este Valse se estrena en 1904 se le atribuye su título al cambio de residencia del autor de Petare a los Valles del tuy.

Éste Vals se hizo muy popular en Venezuela y se dice que se le atribuye a Cipriano Castro el presidente de Venezuela en ese entonces, que la escuchó por primera vez en los Valles del Tuy y desde entonces en todas las reuniones que iba o hacía la queria escuchar.

Ángel María Landaeta hizo otras obras religiosas y populares que se hicieron iconos musicales de la región, murió en Ocumare del Tuy en 1920. ''La formación de buenos ciudadanos proviene de familias donde se cultivan la oración y el respeto''
