Spain is different ...

in #spain7 years ago

Hello friends, today I am going to talk a little about the country where I was born ...

Spain is a unique country, a country where 87 million euros are spent on beating voters in a referendum, but nevertheless the state of some hospitals is deplorable.

A country where the president of the government is officially corrupt, but the word abdication does not exist.

A country where cultural programs are broadcast at dawn and programs on bullfighting can be seen during children's hours.

A country where young people are forced to emigrate while the birth rate goes down year after year.

A country where taxpayers have rescued banks, bankrupt highways, but the poor are thrown out of their homes because they can not pay.

A country where the public debt is colossal, but the government is systematically dedicated to saying that everything is great and thousands of jobs are created.

A country where 30% of workers are poor...

A country where the crimes of the dictatorship continue unpunished, and thousands of families still do not know where the corpses of their relatives remain.

There are also good things ... but I think I forgot

WHAT DO YOU THINK?

( this post is @speckofdust opinion, It is not my intention to hurt the sensibility of any Spaniard, ask for explanations to M. Rajoy; ) )

Hi @speckofdust .. I know and I understand you. I live in Andalucia during the winter months since 20 years now and I know what the situation is in this country. Our pueblo Torrox has plenty of jobless masons and the only way they can get a job is when construction of new houses are there mostly for foreigners.. but the expats do not want to invest because of the building prohibitions... although it is always the same, people construct houses and they see the rest what Ayuntamiento says...

About the government crisis in Catalonia, Rajoy called for a new election and the separatists won this election and yet Madrid does not want to accept the results.... where is democracy in this country? I am just reading and hearing the truth about Catalonia and am just observing.

Thanks for your comment @mers, i agree, the situation in Spain is very sad... but... we can be proud of having Messi and Ronaldo in our football league... and their great generosity paying taxes : (

Have a nice day.

But that would not be enough, indeed the two are important in the football league. Still how can the government help poor farmers who are just dependent on the olive groves in their fincas? The smallest government in each Province should create more jobs, be lax in construction of houses... Do you remember the corrupt officials in Malaga, like permits given to people with illegal constructions in Marbella? Corruption is a big problem in Spain and I don´t know whether this can be eradicated at all....it´s like the motto "catch me if you can!"

When I spoke about Messi and Ronaldo it was ironic, both have evaded taxes.

I know perfectly well that this country is full of corruption, but someone said: "a society has the rulers it deserves"

So the problem must be that Spaniards love corruption and are as corrupt as their leaders.
