NASA rejected of capturing of asteroid

Director of programm NASA Asteroid redirect mission Michel Gates told, that his office got notification about closing of financing of project. Idea of  capturing of asteroid, transporting towards Moon, visiting it's by piloting ship Orion,didn't find supporting neither Congress or White House.

Some technologies,which worked in preparing mission's frames,before it's hard electric jet propulsion system, will continue development,but in frames of preparing other programms. So it considers powerfull ion motor as meaning of delivery modules nearing moon pilot station Deep Space Gateway,which NASA plans to build in 20s' years.

Project ARM developed by Barack's Obama administration as change more ambitious and expensive idea of Bush Junior Constellation, which supposed landing on the Moon, then on Mars. Project of capturing asteroid was easier,but with that it demanded design of superheavy rocket SLS and space ship Orion which will need for Moon and Mars in perspective.

Nowadays president's administration purposed on the Moon again.Firstly it offered to run in first test flying Orion people on near-moon's circle, but now it developing project Deep Space Gateway- near-moon's living station.

For the last 20 years on realization programms Constellation, ARM and Deep Space Gateway NASA there was spent more 20$ milliard, and with that there was no element ready for it. Autopilot of interplanetary Orion on  superheavy rocket SLS will waiting in 2019 year.In that moment privacy companies of USA accordancing state contract  managed to develop two medium rockets, one heavy and one superheavy, two cargo ships and develop 2 piloting ships,one of them supposes advantages of interplanetary flying,and it was done in 3 times cheaper than NASA's programm.
