Awesome Facts About the Planet Closest to our Sun
Mercury circles our Sun fastest then any planet. Being the closest, as expected it's scorching at over 800 degrees Fahrenheit and has a wild swing of over minus 270F night temperature.
Mercury has always been a big area of interest for me. Here are some of my favorite facts on this planet..
- It's the smallest planet in our Solar system
- It's magnetic field is just 1 of Earth's
- Instead of a substantial atmosphere, Mercury has a ultra thin exosphere made up of atoms
- It orbits the sun every 99 Earth Days
- Gravity is 0.38 of that on Earth
