RE: 5 Myths You Still Believe About Space
You can add Myth №6
You will not freeze in open space. Temperature in space, orbiting the Earth is +4°C.
Due to the fact that near the stars the temperature rises, and we live quite close to the Sun.
For example: readings of an onboard thermometer of the satellite TechEdSat, which rotated in earth orbit
But, it is worth noting that if you find yourself in the shadow of the Earth, the temperature drops to -160 °C.
Thank you for this excellent post @sauravrungta !
Yeah, that is another myth. It will take some time to freeze and that happens only in certain conditions. The most likely scenario is that the body swells to twice it size because there is no atmospheric pressure in space.
