The world of snow dunes on Mars
The effective picture has made the device Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter by means of the HiRISE camera. He has imprinted unusual dunes on the surface of Mars. They are covered partially with snow which represents the frozen carbon dioxide. Black sites on dunes are caused by the fact that during evaporation from deeper layers carbon dioxide during the warm period of year pulls out on a surface dark Martian sand from a subsurface layer.
