KFC statue on Mars

The resemblance to Col. Sanders is purely coincidental but the image is real enough, basically a gigapan composite of NASA/MSL rover images:

Gigapan images are sequences of rover images daisychained together left to right to form a very large image of the Martian surface. In this gigapan image, the main object of interest is in the second frame from the right:

Zoomed several times and with color levels auto adjusted and global unsharp mask filter:

There are other man-made objects in the gigapan image; finding them is sort of like an Easter egg hunt for grown people.
