Jupiter Swirls
Wonderful image from NASA's Juno spacecraft, of Jupiter’s southern hemisphere. This was shot during "PeriJove 09" - the ninth close pass that the spacecraft has made during its mission to the fifth planet. Passing over the southern hemisphere of the planet at 130,000 miles an hour, the spacecraft briefly becomes the fastest manmade object in the Solar System.
