Can you believe in an extraterrestrial existence (Part 1)?

Introduction

Nearly 14 billion years is the age that our scientists give to BIG BANG and the creation of the universe. To this day we are unable to know what was before, this simple idea is just incredible, we can not encrypt an existence; that of the universe ......
The land at an estimated 4.54 billion years, and the man would have about 2.8 million years (and about 150,000 to 200,000 for Homo sapiens).
In this article in several parts, we will think about the possibilities of existence of extraterrestrial entities.

Can they exist?
Have they already come to Earth?
What could be their goals in case of physical encounters?
Would he be more advanced than us?
Etc ...

Many questions exist around this fascinating subject, we will here, try to see the possible reflections and axes of current and future research.

Entity search in the universe

Imagine living with the size of an insect on an island lost in the middle of the ocean. You would not meet anyone except the people close to you. Not having the opportunity to cross this ocean, you would live your life of insect with your congeners on this island which would represent your world to you, with these limits.
The difference between this little insect and us is huge, but at the same time is rather close.
The Earth is for 99.99% of men, the physical barrier to travel. We take the car, the train, the boat or even the plane, but remain anchored on our dear planet, our limit to us. Some humans have the chance to leave our planet to live a time on a station in orbit, or in the past land on the moon. But to this day, we are not able to take a human beyond.

In a previous article, I explained the current work for a future mission to Mars. The latter when it is realized, will give us a lot of information on the technological limits to the current space exploration.

Let's go back to this entity search, if we estimate in a sphere of about 1000 light-years (centered on the sun), that one can find nearly 1 million stars that are comparable to the latter. The possibilities in terms of distance (similar between the sun and the Earth), from these stars simply gives an incredible amount of possibilities of reproduction of living conditions.

Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence, more commonly known as SETI, is an organization that aims to explore the universe in order to understand and explain these origins, as well as search for traces of a past or present life.
SETI, work with many scientists and also with NASA on space exploration missions.
We could talk about many hours of SETI, these projects, these studies or these axes of reflections (Drake equation, Project Phoenix, Project Cyclops, etc ...).
But the subject is so vast that several articles would not be enough.
I invite you to read on the internet the various publications on these topics which are proving fascinating.

In 2016, two physicists / astronomers reported receiving 234 (luminous) signals from extraterrestrial civilization, but no further research confirms this.

As you will have understood mathematically speaking, the possibilities of life in this sphere, but also outside, are innumerable. We are not in science fiction or in a mystical belief, but in a scientific reality.

Martians are here?

Many of the conspiracy theory, or human experience, have gone through science fiction, film, or tv series. Real or fake videos have been filmed, and various testimonies have landed in police stations or in the press. But what do we learn from all this?

If we assume that these extraterrestrial lives are thousands of years ahead of the human age, we can imagine that they too have wanted to explore space.

To the extent that there are billions of planets, certainly hundreds of thousands of galaxies, chances of meeting with these distant neighbors become very unlikely.
It would be necessary that an extraterrestrial civilization is had several thousands of years of evolutions, of space research in order to be able to left their worlds for may have fallen on ours.
If we have to compare the possibilities of extraterrestrial encounter, we could say on the human scale that we are this little insect on its island, facing the galaxy.

In a little over 60 years later, he pushes his knowledge to claim a trip to Mars soon.
We speak only of a very short period on the scale of humanity, but of a real evolution in the space field.
In 200 years, or even in 2000 years, what will be able to realized?

Some parts of the universe, other forms of intelligences in the course of their evolution have certainly also wanted to develop a way to extend their knowledge, and their curiosities.
They had their technological limits, certainly had to wait step by step to be able to launch to the unknown. They had our problems, our fears of the unknown, but also our desire, our determination to want to know more.

If we suppose that these entities were able at one time to leave their planets to explore space, they certainly had to explore each planet meet, going ever further in exploration, starting with a star or visible planet of theirs ( like us the Moon) pushing each time their knowledge, and facing each trip to new technical or physical problems.
To be able to achieve this, a civilization must be able to live thousands of years of evolution and space research.

Why the Earth?

These forms of life capable of traveling in space, would leave their planet for a place already defined.
For this place to be the Earth, these beings would have to be able to observe our planet among hundreds of billions of others. This simple thought reduces the possibility of encounter of the 3rd type, there are so many people to visit, so much unexplored galaxy in a known endless universe.
To come to us, these beings would have thousands of years of space evolution, and be at a reasonable distance for an observation of our world. After that it is a sufficient technology for a very long distance trip, probably without a return.

The basis of the space conquest is observation, because it is us humans or another extraterrestrial entity, travel is not random to the unknown.
It takes a target to be able to claim a trip.
At a very long distance, we observe light sources, space telescopes allow to obtain other information (shape, size, speed of movement, location).
Sending a probe to a targeted location allows for more accurate location information (see, for example, the article on Mars).
All of these steps are necessary for a journey with lives to be transported.

** Conclusion of this first part **

Yes, I believe in countless lives in the universe, because scientifically the opposite seems impossible.
But I also believe in the difficulty for an entity (human or extraterrestrial), to make a long distance trip.
The possibilities of finding a planet with a life in an infinite are just astronomical.
The limits of each civilization even advanced, further complicates these possible encounters.
