Yes, indeed. I have heard the theme in Matthew is Christ as a prophesied Messiah whereas the gospel of John places particularly emphasis on Christ's deity.

It makes me want to reread the gospel accounts with those themes in mind that I may make those connections again. May our minds be renewed by His Word daily. Thank you for commenting. :)
