Meet Bobby Lee, Co-Founder BTCC

Bobby Lee, one of the best-known names in the crypto space. Formerly the Vice President of Technology for Walmart's e-commerce business in China and currently the CEO and Co-founder of the first and largest Bitcoin exchange in China (BITCOIN CHINA) BTCC.

Bobby Lee was born in Africa to entrepreneurial parents who ran a flip-flop manufacturing business together in Ivory Coast. A few years after that, the family moved to New Jersey in the US, where Bobby attended a boarding high school and then went on to study Computer Science at Stanford.

In 1998, Bobby worked at Yahoo Social Network (in Silicon Valley) as an engineer in training before relocating to Shanghai in 2007 where he worked for some notable Chinese digital startups including EMC, and BesTV. Soon afterwards, Bobby was cherry-picked for a Vice President position at Walmart’s eCommerce operation in China.

By 2011, he had started mining BTC after his brother Charlie Lee (Founder of Litecoin) introduced him to cryptocurrency. He discovered BTCC as a small exchange in 2013. It was being run by 2 persons back then and they generally lacked the funds to make it bigger. Bobby invested his funds and brought in friends as well. By November 2013, BTCC became the largest Bitcoin exchange in China and even went on t surpass Japan-based MT. Gox as the biggest exchange in the world.

Mr. Lee currently serves on the board of Bitcoin Foundation, a non-profit organization that fosters the adoption of bitcoin globally. In his spare time, he enjoys travelling, photography, watching movies, and playing poker.^Linkedin

Meet Alex Liu. CEO, MAX.

Alex Liu is the founder and current CEO of MAX MaiCOIN, a leading digital asset exchange in Asia that offers fiat-to-crypto and crypto-crypto markets.

Liu is an insightful entrepreneur and business mogul who cares about the environment and believes that decentralization and cryptocurrencies (digital assets) could offer an instructive reference for curbing climate change. He was born in Taiwan and raised in Southern California where he attained most of his academic successes.

He is an alumnus of Stanford University, California where he obtained his Bachelor of Science (BSc) in the field of Electrical Engineering from 1996 to 2000, He also obtained his Masters of Science in the same subject of study in the same University from 2000 to 2002.

Alex Liu is also the CEO of AMIS Technologies, a leading distributed ledger (blockchain) consortium of financial institutions, exploring applications in payment, insurance, securities, IoT, etc. The company currently has its headquarters in Tapei City, Taiwan where he lives with his family.

His past experiences in the work field include the following:

Product Marketing Manager, Samsung Electronics, Giheung, Korea. December 2008 - December 2009.

Director of Marketing, Qualcomm Shanghai, China. February 2010 - January 2014.

CEO, MaiCoin Cryptocurrency exchange, Tapei City, Taiwan. December 2013 till date.

CEO AMIS Technologies, Tapei Taiwan. September 2016 till date.

Liu Has lived and worked in all major countries in East Asia (except North Korea). He currently speaks 5 international languages (including Chinese, German, Japanese, Korean, and the English language). His hobbies include studying, hiking and skiing! ^reference

I have no doubts that this summit will be impactful and beneficial to the entire blockchain community, as well as the immediate environment where it is being held.
