I often use left over mashed potatoes in soups. Whatever is in the fridge is fair game for the soup pot!
Wow, then you are much wiser than I am, because this is the first time that occured to me!!
Not wiser, just frugal and when you have four hungry sons you learn to use up what's in the fridge.
